Digidesign Eleven Rack?

i have a few questions about this. say i have a marshal amp and i want to use the eleven rack as my amp head, can i just disconnect the marshal amp head from the speaker cab and hook the eleven rack in and use it as an amp head? so basically have my marshal speaker cab hooked up to the eleven rack as if it would be hooked up to the marshal amp head. my other question is is there a footswitch or something that can be purchased for this so that way i can access my pre sets from the footswitch instead of always having to go manually do it? my last question is, can i make my own custom ore set sounds with it? if anyone who has this and understsands my questions and can help me out please help, thank you

I don't have the amp. I have the Line 6 rack mount POD, which is probably where digidesign got the idea of doing the elevenrack. It should have better sound quality, but I've never seen a review of this amp compared to the POD, so a lot of people may mistake the higher price for the elevenrack to be superior to the POD.

I'm not sure how to hook the POD up as an amp. It's only a preamp, so you would need a power amp to produce sound, other than using headphones or going through your computer. Most people go through the P.A. system. I guess they plug directly in to the board or something. This, I assume is what you'll want to do if you play live. If the elevenrack has a power amp section, then you'll be able to do what you want to do, assuming you have a 4 ohm output on the elevenrack, and a 4 ohm input on the Marshall amp.

Again, I've never used your amp, so I don't know for sure. You'll do better if you send an email or call digidesign and ask them directly, or consult the owners manual.
